Hi Andy -

I had to explain to my GP last year about paruresis and that self catheterisation was the best thing to do. He seemed to understand quite well and aggree. If your doctor feels differently, remember that it is your decision and tell him "when im on a long flight/away for a weekend and am unable to urinate, what am I supposed to do?" for example.
