hey Bruce and all..
the show is going well (though i am actually not in it - wanting to watch it more than be in it), and so is my research. i'm really good friends with the director (a fellow student), and so i gave him the mary phagan book for his birthday. he LOVED it.. :D
he, in fact, enjoyed it so much that he did some research on his own and talked to Mary Phagan-Kean herself over the phone! a very exciting moment in history.. she was *incredibly* kind (though she normally does not like to speak to people about the story), and answered his questions about the story of little Mary Phagan.. she also mentioned that she has never seen "Parade" herself, because the musical is biased - siding with Leo Frank's innocence - which she and her family do not agree with.
