Posted by mike on April 8, 2003, 16:39:05, in reply to "Re: opening" CAP did parade last summer, as the long island premiere(sp?) production. it sold amazingly well and was an overall great production. you can find a review of it on their website, www.culturalartsplayhouse.com the theatre also has a musical theatre and acting acadamy (mtaa) and every year the students of the mtaa are given the oppurtunity to perform in teen productions of musicals. same musical, big band, big stage, big sets, exactly like a mainstage show, but with a younger cast. CAP performd parade with both a mainstage cast, and a ypt(young people's theatre) cast. i was tom watson in the ypt cast. prolly the youngest person to perform the role. i was fourteen at the time, and turned fifteen the day after closing. and that is the story of YPT Parade. (which was...might i say...AMAZING!) not to sound conceited but my "where will you stand"s were nearly always perfectly timed. i think there was just general confusion as to when the ensemble was supposed to start the "see them laugh..." and "georgia home..." rounds. bye!
