I first flew this 747-200, number 21439 (N723PA) on a Singapore Airlines delivery flight from Seattle to Singapore in September, 1977 to visit my wife's parents (her father was Director of Customer Relations for Australasia, based in Singapore). I've researched the records of this aircraft through seven subsequent owners - Pan Am being one of them in 1985 - and have now lost touch with it. On this message board sometime in 2008 I read about an Aussie who had purchased the aircraft and was transporting her to Australia for a museum. Does anyone know further details of this?
