Hi Larry & Joe I have read your comments yes I do believe what you both say about company wastage in many departments including sales and assets of Pan Am. I worked in the PAN AM building on the 27th floor which was in advertising. I can certainly say alot of ordering of products and computers etc from suppliers were brought at unbelievable prices higher then the local electronic stores sold them for. Most were sent overseas to other PAN AM offices ordering materials such as posters stationary and alot was never accounted for when it was sent or never received.Yet it was egnored and paid for. As for air fares going through archives from the 1980's many were refunded or freebie's were given to staff and non family members some how after audits were done. Also after a few crashes with aircraft and the law suites against the airline it drained the airline considerably yet insurance pay outs on the aircraft were actually below the market value of what they were worth at the time. Yet Trippe continued to try and over see this problem by selling off aircraft or disposale to get money back into the company that took a back flip in the end. I do know five floors on the PAN AM building were emptied out and never used again to cut cost in 1990 that was to late. I lost my job like many others did that day. Thank you
