my grandpa pan am pioneer Joey Carrero was one of the first four stewards in Pan American History flew in the boats sikorsky s-38/ 40/ 41/ 42/ fokker f-7/ fokker f-10 , was the purser on the first four engine flight nov. 19th 1931, 11 years as a purser he logged 2,173,200 airmiles and spent 18 months in the air. Born in key west worked for pan am for 50 years, was a special guest along with Steve Whalton on oct 28th 1977 to celebrate and dedicate the new historical marker in key west 50 year anniversary of the General Machado flight and also the birth of Pan Am - I have all his photos-tape recorded flight stories,old clipper newspapers,old news paper articles
