The best thing about the show was seeing the equipment parked at the Worldport. I must confess that I got emotional. Other than that, yea, you should see my post about the age of the pilots a few posts down. That was very dissapointing. But, hey, it's entertainment. |
: Watched the first 15minutes and couldn't
: stomach any more.
: Within first 15 … a flight attendant
: takes a pull on a champagne bottle (a firing
: offense)… and we meet the child pilot of a
: Pan Am Clipper. I can assure you, Pan Am
: pilots weren't chosen because they were
: cute. Boy pilots maybe flew little regional
: carriers, but they had to have decades of
: experience, and tens of thousands of hours
: working their way up the chain of first
: engineer and co-pilot before they were made
: pilot in command. There is a reason it was
: called "The World's Most Experienced
: Airline". It was one of the GREAT,
: pioneering companies in American history.
: The true story of Pan Am is a thousand times
: more dramatic and interesting. They were THE
: American flag carrier. Why else did the
: Libyans target that beautiful Pan Am 747
: over Lockerbie? My only hope is that this
: idiotic series dies from lousy ratings.
: Touched a nerve, that series did…
