In 1979 and beyond, Pan Am offered passes to your parents, and also siblings if you were unmarried. They also, after a time had buddy passes, but I don't remember the exact date they started ==== sometime in the 80's. My family, and my friends enjoyed many wonderful trips together on these passes. I took my sister and her husband to the Far East on their anniversary, one sister to Tokyo, 2 sisters to LHR, my mother to LHR and TXL and friends to CDG and RIO. Those were the DAYS!

: Thanks for the responses.

: It's a novel that will take the main

: Hi Rich,
: Pan Am did not offer buddy passes as we know
: them today in the 60's. In fact, I don't
: think they ever did. They did offer passes
: to family members until a certain age for
: depenedent children, and lifetime for
: spouses. As I recall the spouse retained
: those benefits after the death of the active
: or retired employee. Hope this helps.
:
: By the way, what is your creative writing
: project about?

: Hello,
:
: I don’t know if you would have this
: information or not, but I need it for a
: creative writing project I’m working on:
:
: I was wondering if you could tell me whether
: Pan Am employees were given buddy passes (to
: share with friends and family) in or around
: 1964.
:
: Also, did immediate family members retain
: any flight benefits after the death of an
: active employee?
:
: If you have any information to share it
: would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
