That's just the problem Willie:What if the Libian prisoner is innocent, but was locked up back in 2001 because of what those agencies tried to cover up?Why is the fragment of circuit board from a Mebo decade timer, the only evidence against Libya? How did this evidence end up on the fingertip of the FBI man who found it,when the standard procedure would be to handel it with tweezers, and put it in a plastic bag,to avoid contamination? Why were Scottish investigators not allowed to go to certain areas of the crash-site,in their own juristiction, stopped by members of those agencies? Why did certain government officials plus the son of the very FBI man investigating this case, change their flight arangements at the last minute, avoiding 103?Why did Clipper Maid of the Seas blow up over land, when even an amature terrorist could've timed that timer to go off over open ocean, because the flight had at least five hours of it to fly over?Even with the delay, this could have easily been done. Why was the plane only two-thirds full of passengers,so close to Christmas?
One could say that Libya is guilty, because they claimed responsibility, and paid compensation, but that could likely have been done by Ghadaffy,to finally have the sanctions lifted against his country. There are members of the victim's families out there who are convinced it wasn't Libya, but I'm afraid the truth will never come out.I find it sad that partly because of this bombing, your great Pan Am went bankrupt. Thanks for bringing this one up.I've always found it a very interesting case, horrific as it is...

: Hello,Willie,and other Panamairs.My
: opinion is that that the whole affair around
: PA103,is shrouded in controversies,and
: mysteries.I read the book "cover-up of
: convenience",and was shocked to read of
: the evidence-tampering and the secret
: behavior of the CIA,and FBI on the scene.I
: also watched some documentaries on the
: crash, only to see and hear various officials
: reveal shocking information on the same
: subjects,as the authors of the book, and all
: of them stating it could very well have been
: Iran,instead of Libya.Think about what
: happened to that Iranian Airbus 6 months
: before Lockerbie, thanks to an American
: battle ship...I'm not saying I'm a
: conspiracy theorist, but these are things to
: take into concideration.I guess what I mean
: is,that I dare not say anything too hatefull
: towards that dying Libyan,because I just
: don't know who to believe about the bombing
: these days....Thanks.

: Hello PAN AM AIRS and many of my friends
: from
: our PAN AM. I have just come back from a
: trip to the storage facilities at Marina
: Pinal Park and came across an extrodanary
: piece of info from one of the Australian
: News papers namely the Sunday Mail here in
: Brisbane QLD. Here is what the article
: reads.
:
: RETURN LIBYAN BOMBER;
: Rome: Muammar Gaddafi has demarnded the
: return of the jailed Lockerbie bomber in an
: extraordinary encounter with British Prime
: Minister Gorden Brown.
:
: The Lybian dictator used their first face to
: face meeting at the G8 meeting in Italy to
: raise the case of Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al
: Megrahi, who was convicted of the blowing up
: of PAN AM flight PA103 in 1988. He insisted
: that Al Megrahi, who is suffering from
: prostate cancer in a scotish jail be
: returned to Lybia.
:
: Scotish judges this week delayed completing
: an appeal against his conviction until at
: least September. The Lybians insist he risks
: dying behind bars. Pending an appeal, the
: national;ist goverment in Scotland is
: considering a request for him to be allowed
: to serve the rest of his sentance in Lybia.
:
: Relatives of some of the victims of the
: bombing said they would feel betrayed if Al
: Megrahi, a former Lybian secret agent, goes
: home.
:
: Mr Brown said last night he had told the
: Lybian leader that he could not
: intervene,adding there;s a request from
: Lybia and that has to be dealt with by the
: Scotish administration.
:
: Yesterday's meeting at the G8 sumit in
: L"Aquila, Italy, marked the latest
: stage in Col Gaddafi's journey from
: international pariah to man of trust.
:
: In 2004 Mr Tony Blair flew to Lybia to
: restore relations with Lybia after years of
: this inquest into the downing of an American
: airliner in 1988 killing all on board and
: the familes and victims who died on the
: ground.
:
: Well my personal opinion after what these
: people did which was a very cruel and
: criminal unjustified acts upon the victims
: there families and the crew they should
: remain behind bars made to suffer or die in
: prison. Did they have any remorse on what
: they did or even gave a thought to what they
: had done. "NO" Even today it's
: long gone but never forgotten and will
: always be remebered. I would like your
: thoughts from any one who reads this board
: or who the people who lost there loved one's
: of our people from PAN AM to list there
: thoughts on this. I feel it would be a great
: shame and mis trust to the British Goverment
: or to the G8 leaders to allow the removal of
: these people back to Lybia. Who knows they
: would be free over there and this could
: repeat again. Thank you Have a good one---WS

: Hi Frank thanks for your thoughts and
: comments yes I agree with you on these
: grounds but as a veteran pilot with forty
: years service and serving the Queen of the
: skies our PAN AM and flown The Maid N739PA
: back in 1977 #-812 LAX/HNL/AKL -- F/O
: F-CASSIN F/E- MAHONEY--? JM
: 5/18/77 I don't hate people or the country
: there from but acts of terroism towards
: civlian aircraft and passengers/crew of an
: airliner is unacceptable in my own opinion
: and i condem these people. As the saying
: goes Frank. What goes around will come back
: around and loom in front of you no matter
: how long it takes. Thats a true saying and
: it happens. These people or Libya claimed
: the responsability for there actions and now
: the have a price to pay for it on there
: heads. The Maid was a perfectly good aircraft
: back in those years and i think today she
: would have being still operational with
: another carrier like our former PAA ladies
: in service if this wouldn't have happened.
: Most of my former fellow pilots or veteran
: pilots I knew in the PAN AM days would share
: the same way i would Frank. I really don't
: care about the CIA/FBI what they have done
: or did in the past nobody trust Goverment
: departments or agencies in this world it
: will all come out in the wash later and they
: have themselves to blame for there scandals
: lies or tampering whatever they cause. It
: makes them look like fools and they continue
: that way and don't give a dam about it.
: Thank you
