Frank---I have engineered that airplane several times but never to AMS---I have flown into your 'Below-sea level' airport several times but as a 707 Copilot---A/C 751----3-13-77 JFK/FRA
5-2-77 SYD/MEL/SYD
5-4-77 SYD/MEL/SYD
8-26-77 PPT/AKL
Looks to me like she was a pretty sound airplane---That Auckland trip was on my 43rd birthday--Wonder if the stewardesses helped me celebrate?!?!

: Hello everyone.I'm pleased to say that I
: purchased a beautifull black and white photo
: of a pan am 747-121 named Clipper Midnight
: Sun.I bought it through the net right here
: in Holland, from the man who photographed her
: at our Schiphol airport in the summer of
: 1976.I know that Pan Am 747s were a very
: rare sight at our Dutch airport,so maybe
: there's a pilot or an engineer out there who
: remembers flying her to Amsterdam, and could
: maybe tell me something about the origin of
: the flight,or where it was headed.I assume
: it was a charter?I'd be very interested to
: hear about it.
:
: I know it was a very hot summer for this
: country, and the gate she was parked at was
: fairly new.Thank you.
