Hello PANAMAIRS our former PAN AM staff who visit this site daily. I have had many emails comming in about history of PAN AM aircraft which have either perished many years ago or being in an incident or written off. I thank you for your info an have tried to return emails with this back to the people who requested this. So I thought i would put it over the message board for you all. According to the FAA any aircraft flown or in the fleet of our PAN AM over the past years while in service with our PAN AM EG;Clipper Victor N736PA 747-123 JET or Clipper Maid of the Sea's N739PA 747-121,which both big jets were written off. Also not for getting our other 747-121 at Karachi and a few 707's we all remember. These Rego's can no longer be re used again as they have being deleted for use of future aircraft around the globe no matter what airline it is. It's mostly due to respect the victims there family's the airline industry and law suites that could follow. Its the same with American Airlines DC10 Chicargo accident in 1979 followed by Air New Zealand DC10-30 ZK-NZP that perished on the lower slopes of MT Erebus in 1979 these rego's can no longer be re used again. I have herd stories which are far from the truth that airlines have re used these rego's again. I don't know why people dis respect the victims there families by telling such untruthful statements what do they get out of this??. Any way my friends this answers your questions so enjoy----Thanks-----WS.
