: Hi guys,
:
: I wantewd to know, why did Pan Am become
: bankrpt and stop services. It's a ashame as
: it was one of the worlds major airlines, and
: i grew up with it thinking that. That blue
: global emblem stood out from the rest. I
: know the lockerbie bombing affected it alot,
: and they lost alot of money, but why did
: they just becme nothinf after 1991?

: Hi Mike if you read through this site about
: the history Of our PAN AM you will see why
: she folded in 1991. Some of it was to do
: with PA103 The Maid of the Sea's N739PA
: 747-123 and the recovery insurance and pay
: outs. But going back in the late eighties
: PAN AM;S future was looming and sevices were
: at a loss and aircraft retired sold off
: which to make PAN AM viable. In the end the
: result was unsubstainable and the pioneer
: airline vanished. However still today PAN AM
: and its former employees and th LOGO PAN AM
: and the memories are still out there and
: won't disappear my friend. Everyone knows
: PAN AM and its the world's most exsperinced
: airline of the history of the airline
: industrie and the remarkable record holding
: by far today that know other airline can
: match her achivements. Thank you

:Hi Mike no matter how much we loved PAN AM but the collapse and the administrators the massive debit left behind was never recovered fully. Alot of debit including aircraft 747's DC10'S L1011's 707's 737's 727's A300 A310'S were still on long term arrangements with brokers and banks. However Mike if they were to bring PAN AM back to service it would have to be fully restructured on every angel and be very financial to survive out there today. new aircraft with economical savings or smaller aircraft would be an advantage. The air route structure and terminal costs would play a major part as well as a maintance base set up for PAN AM and it's facilities. A very close good associate of mine who deals with liqiudations of airliners or aircraft has told me it can be done if the right person with a sound back ground and financial backing or proven records or experince in this feild could re launch PAN AM, but the for closuer of the perivous PAN AM debit would have nothing to do with the new PAN AM if it started back up. It;s like ANSETT AUSTRALIA who went under back on September 11th 2001 when the WTC attacks happened the same day. A second ANSETT was relunched with only a few A320 jets but it couldn't survive as the pervious debit was still out standing and the persons or person relunching had to contribute to repaying out the perivous debit or ANSETT AUSTRALIA. But now the debit has being repaid in full ANSETT AUSTRALIA could restart up again what a war it would be between QF (QANTAS & DJ VIRGINBLUE)At the moment Mike people out there are hanging onto there money the way the world crises is going on. I suppose Boeing with all the white tails sitting at Seattle and the desert you would get a very cheap deal for sales of these big jets that orders were deferred or cancelled.
Thank you for your email if you want some PAN AM models try the airplane shop.com or PAN AM aware store in MIA. Thank you
