Hello,Ken Baker.It must have been strange seeing that cockpit sliced off lying in a field ,with her name clearly readable like that,and then realizing you actually flew her a few times in her better days.I find it very sad,but it really intrigues me at the same time.I was twelve when the newsflashes came on the TV,and I remember hearing that most victims were quite young,some even younger then myself...I had heard of Pan Am before that terrible tragedy,but really became deeply interested in Pan Am as the airline she once was,since about ten years,and particularly the 747-121s.The internet is a great source of information.By the way,I also found some photos,and info on N747PA,through Google Images.There is a story,and photos in there about a mishap she had at SFO,in 1971,and also some pics of the way she looks today,sitting in Korea as a restaurant,all faded and rusty,with your former boss's name on the cockpit.It looks terrible.I also found two photos of Clipper Fortune,N752PA,just hours before she was hijacked in Amsterdam.Maybe this is old news to you Panamairs,but if not,take a peek!
