PAN AM PAINT SCHEME OR DECALS

Hello everyone nice site. I have read lots of interesting stories on this site and being a PAN AM passenger from the good old days and my memories of the Queen of the skies. Can anyone help me out even EX PAA staff is to why or what made pan am change there original delivery decals or livery colours to the huge PAN AM words on there jets. This is one question not asked from this site. Why was this done to the PAN AM image. Thank you Van Hofferman former KLM F/O DC10-30 747-100 1973-1999 Holland based airline
