: Hi Rebecca i read your comments and i have some knowledge of the last 747 service that day when PAN AM ceased operations and passengers and aircraft were stranded every where. PAN AM PA003 from LDN/JFK/LAX arrived in at 8.30pm at there terminal without knowing the shock that the airline had finished. This was N747PA Clipper Juan Trippe a 747-123 jet with only 185 people on board. the plane was unloaded and completely shut down and pushed back from the gate and locked up after a few hours of its arrival. Many of the crew were in shock crying dis beleif the Queen of the skies PAN AM had fallen. There was two other late flights comming from the Pacific routes still in flight but they had know idea what had happened. I know N749PA Clipper Dashing Wave was one of these two jets still flying into LAX. I hope this helps you out. Thank you
