: I herd from a very good source of mine at
: Atlanta airport that N538PA EX PAN AM
: 747sp21 jet which now is stored and used as
: a test fuel bed jet is going to be ferried
: to another airport in the US next month
: speacail FAA airworthy certificate will be
: issued for the ferried flight and it will
: remain active to start flying around testing
: other jet engines under it's wings. Atlanta
: airport can no longer afford to keep the jet
: stored there as it's costly and GE who own
: her have had there leasing space for this
: jet expired and won't be renewed. I will
: keep you up to date with this. Thank you
:
: John Mackey Atlanta International airport
: employee.
:
: Hi John do you know the airport or air feild
: this 747sp21 EX PAN AM jet will be going to
: I noticed in your comments you didn't tell
: us this or does anyone else out there have
: this info on the new airport EX FLEETWING
: is going to. Thank you

:Hi Gerold i read your comments some one from
: Atlanta airport I know who works for Delta
: has told me this news and this PAN AM ex
: 747sp21 jet N538PA FLEETWING will be active
: at it's new home in IOWA SOUX CITY where the
: UNITED DC10-30 flight 232 crashed in 1989.
: Is this true. Anyone from PAN AM know about
: this. Thanks

: Hi Nancy I have being reading these comments
: about this particular former PAA 747sp21 jet
: I have seen her at Atlanta airport to day
: fired up engines running sitting there doing
: test fule test on a very large 777 engine on
: or where number 4 pylon mount is on this
: jet. It would be a sorry thing to see her
: relocated some where else. Are you sure its
: Iwoa Suox City its a rather small air field
: for such a big jet like this one? Thanks

:Hi everyone i being reading your comments and my good friend Mark for posting his story. You are right there Mark our ex Clipper Fletwing N538PA which i flew many times as a captain will be stored at this airport for good. The FAA has no records of its re issue of a airworthy certificate and will not issue one for this jet until she has being given orders for the scrap man which is far or a long time off. For those who have herd of this bogus stories about this little jet always check it out with the FAA website as they are up to date every minute on aircraft movements rego's storage etc. I know it upset people out there wo loved PAN AM and there aircraft stored or still active or memories of PAN AM. I hope tis helps you all out. Thank you
Regards
