Can anyone give me the info into why and what caused this 747 crash landing at Karachi in Pakastain in 1986 this was a pan american 747 100 jet. Why wasn't it rebiult instead of WFO i have read many books about this incident yet the truth cannot be explained. Does anyone know what the high court outcome was of this incident and who paid for the compensation to passengers aboard this flight. Before PAN AM went to the brink of collapse in 1991-1992 there was another 747 N656PA called Clipper Fleetwing was this the same aircraft in this incident or was this another replacement jet of PAN AM'S using this rego. I have being informed as well that the rego of Clipper Victor or Young America has surfaced on another US airline by the FAA N736PA I always thought once the aircraft was distroyed or it was a investigation that no other airliner or FAA registery could re use thse rego's as they were deleted indefinately by the FAA can I rely upon someone's truthfull info on this who either worked for PAN AM or knows of the PAN AM data base or FAA registry.
