L1011 TRISTAR JETS OF PAN AM

Can anyone tell me why they fased out these great tri jets from the PAN AM fleet and which was the last PAN AM tristar to fly or leave the fleet before the demise of the airline in 1991 are there any flying or active today or have they being stored or broken up. Thank you
