Can anyone update me into why N742PA 747-121 N748PA last assigned by Boeing for refitting of interior deigning was not completed back in 1990 before the collapse of PAN AM in 1991 when most of these jets were stored or went onto new operators . Also why did PAN AM not sell and have N740PA Clipper Ocean Pearl and N755PA Clipper sovergin of the Seas 747-121 leased to Tower Air and then stored at hanger 17 at JFK when Tower Air never ownd them out right but only used them on long term lease arrangements. Why are they still left in such a bad way even though they still have tower air rego's on them what is there purpose of standing there for so long out of service when they could have put these big jets to service in stead of trying to write them off I do know for a fact they will be removed very soon carn't anyone bing them to life or use them as a meuseam at all or a mobile home like i have seen other 707 jets or 727 jets used for this purpose.
