Hi I was wanting to know the where abouts of N540PA a PAN AM babay jumbo might be today also why did PAN AM ever sell off these aircraft and not keep them until 1991 which they would have kept the airline going with less fuel and good economy for long distance flights. Why on earth did they sell them to UAl They only disposed of them later and sent them to the scrap man like they do even with there 747-440 they store in the deserts or the scrap mans hands un believeable. So can anyone tell me what or how many ex PAA 747sp jets are active to date. Thank you.
