Hi Bob, I do remember you Dad's name!!! I probably saw them when I visited my parents in Tehran. I made the trip in April of 1966 and again in September of 1967. Were they there then? Do you rmemeber guys by the name of Ed Deto or Joe Wizner? They were both friends of Dad's, and I keep in touch with them. It was good to hear from you!!

: Hi Teten,
: I knew your Mom and Dad VERY well, They were
: together with my folks throught out the
: Pacific and the last place we were together
: was in Tehran, they had a flat in the same
: building as my folks did. You may remember
: my dad's name "Al Moir", sadly he
: passed away in 1991 before Pan Am did (it
: would have broke his heart to see that after
: 36 years with the airline, though my mom is
: still here and she lives with me. There were
: alot of good people that built Pan Am and it
: was a shame that the CEO's (starting with
: Haliby) just took there money and ran.
: Thanks for the post.
: Bob Moir (in GA)

: Hi John, I'm sure you knew my Dad, Oscar
: Smith. I grew up flying on the old
: Stratocruisers!! I was born on Midway
: Island in 1947 and moved quite a bit after
: that. Dad passed away in 1989 and my Mom
: Alice died in 1992. I am sure glad Dad
: didn't live to see the end of Pan Am, it
: would have broken his heart. Good to hear
: from you!! Teten

: Hi I worked for Pan AM serving on Canton
: Island, which is an atoll once used for
: refuelling
: now a sattelite tracking station.
: I worked on the Stratocruisers which flew to
: Sydney. My father in law started his career
: in the early flying boat days when they ship
: landed on the Brisbane river.
: The stratocruiser was exciting in those
: days.
