Hi. I am not sure what aircraft you speak of. When Pan Am shut down, they flew the Boeing 727, 737, 747 Airbus A300 and A320 (if memory serves.) I was a JFK based flight attendant at the time.
I'm afraid you would have to ask a pilot, perhaps, what was done with the aircraft but presumably many were sold to Delta and United, along with the routes these airlines acquired from Pan Am (United got the LHR base and routes a little bit before Pan Am went under.) I always heard about aircraft being parked in the desert, though not sure where or which desert. Certainly one in The U.S. I hope this helps.
