: Hello, could anyone help me with some
: information about the Boeing 747-121
: N747PA?I'm wondering why exactly it is that
: this particular jet,was the second 747 ever
: built, yet the very last one delivered out of
: 25 originally ordered by Juan Trippe
: himself?I asume it was because it took part
: in Boeing's test program for the 747,and
: wasn't available sooner because of that very
: reason,but I'm not sure.I know that a lot of
: people think it was the first 747 ever
: delivered to any airline,but that's a
: mistake:N736PA was,while N733PA was supposed
: to be.I also know that it was subject to
: every change imaginable in the
: fleet:names(Clipper America/Sealark/Juan
: T.Trippe),billboard titles,and CRAF
: modification.Finally, it retired with
: Aeroposta(ugly paint sceme)....which brings
: me to my next question:Why did Aeroposta
: keep the name "Juan T.Trippe"on
: the plane?I stare at the photo's of this
: plane and wonder. There's even pictures of it
: being scrapped.Too bad....anyway,as an
: admirer of Pan Am, thank you...

Hi Frank i can help you out with this question before i leave for the USA please use my email so i can give you some down loads of the interior colours of our PAN AM 747-121 jets there is a model company in Auckland New Zealand who make a wide range of fiber glass models for most airlines and cut away version such as PAN AM Braniff using the older 747-100 moulds and decals but they are a 150th scale which is very big. I have a few made up of the 747-121 N736PA & the 747sp21 jet Clipper Kiss in speacial decals. Also they do the PAN AM 707 DC-8'S as well. The first ever 747-100 which was built was the proto type test jet N747PA which belonged to boeing and is now on display at Boeing for view you will fine this on the airlines.net site. This particular aircraft was destined for PAN AMERICAN but was cancelled N736PA Young America, Mayflour,Victor was the second 747-100 out of Boeing in 1969 delivered to PAN AM. Well Frank contact me via email. Thank you
Season Greetings
Willie Carter (former PAN AM pilot)
