Dear Mr Flanagan,
Your info on Panam's 747s is indeed very interesting. I have a question which you might be able to help me out with; during 1983-85 why did Panam acquire upto 16 used 747-100s & 200s (originally used by Singapore, American, United, and Delta airlines)when it disposed off upto 6 of its orginal 747-100s. Secondly why was the airline (Panam)always inclined towards buying the first generation 747 in the used market?
I anticipate a "juicy" answer.
Thanks in advance.
