: The photo below clearly shows that N8856E did
: have a Clipper name. The name is Clipper
: M.... and is hard to read. This photo is
: from Jetphotos.net while this 727-225 was
: operated by Pan Am. Does anyone know what

According to our data from PAN AM Mark you are wrong or the photo is a miss print this little 727-225 jet came to our PAN AM fleet on the year our airline collapsed? Now I do remember signing this aircraft of for sale to the scrap man at Marina where she was brought by FedEx cargo services where she was converted to a frieghter jet which she is now dismantled at Majove storage facility. She had no Clipper name at all or classified as unknown clipper Did you also know Mark a few of the 747 jets were unknown clippers when we purchased them and leased them out to other cargo companies even after the collapse of PAN AM i do know as i worked for the PAN AMERICAN headqarters in MIA. Thank you.
