Hello everyone.Looking at the old photo's of 747 aircraft,I noticed that the very old Pan Am 100's all have a buldge on top of the fuselage, right in the crease which divedes the upper deck from the main cabin.I noticed that about halfway into the seventies, the buldge was removed. Can anyone tell me what it's purpose was?Was it used just on the Pan am jets?Thank you.Trying to find out what I can about these magnificant aircraft.
