: her when she first came to Australia before
: N731PA another or the first PAN AM Jumbo
: ever built to arrive here. Can anyone out

: Hi Rita i can tell you a bit about this
: 747 we had in our PAN AM fleet. She was
: deivered to PAN AM as Clipper Kit Calson
: N741PA C/N19648 from the boeing company in
: Seattle in 1970 she first flew to AKL/SYD as
: PA812 and was the very first jumbo to arrive
: in AKL and the second jumbo to arrive in
: Australia on the 4th October 1970 at
: Kingsford smith airport here in Australia. I
: do remember flying her as a captain in 1972
: on the asiana flights from LAX/HKG
: eventually N741PA was renamed Clipper
: Sparkling Wave which a few of our PAN AM
: jets had the wave names on them including
: Dashing Wave another sisiter aircraft to
: N741PA. Today this rego is with another
: airline called Primas which there are some
: rego's with other airlines that our 747 jets
: which are no longer around are being re
: used. Clipper Sparkling wave or former Kit
: Carlson has being dismantled like many of
: our former hard working PAN AM jets after
: the demise of the airline. You can go to the
: web site of www.airliners.net click on
: search type in N741PA then the photo's or
: images of Kit Carlson will appear. I hope
: this info helps you out Yes I was there the
: day she arrived at Sydney what a crowd it
: was they were amazed and stunned by this big
: huge jumbo with the sparkling blue ball
: printed with our PAN AM on her tail
: gleamming in the morning sun. Thank you
