I know for a fact that after 12/14/1991 there was a large surplus of ground equipment that we had to pick up at GSE. A hangar in Newark International Airport. They were painted over but one could still read Pan Am on the tugs if you look real close. This ground support equipment was for Continental Airlines. I'm not sure where the others went.

: Hello all,
:
: I was wondering what operations took place
: following the official shutdown on 12/4/91?
: I realize there was a sad bankruptcy auction
: in early 92', but did Pan Am employee its
: pilots and other employees up until a
: certain date or was it on an as-needed
: basis, or was that post-shutdown work
: contracted to airlines that would be buying
: ex-Pan Am equipment? Work such as
: transporting planes, ground equipment, etc.
