Many times Pan Am did renames on their aircraft and failed to write them down anywhere. This drives me nuts in my research! Have a great day, --Previous Message--

Hi Markus,
A good example is a 747SP temporarily renamed Clipper Kiss Special. Renamed for the rock band "KISS" and their world tour. I was lucky to know a friend who was a fan of "KISS" and had a photo.

: Hello,
:
: I need data about the Clipper Names of
: N64AF.
:
: In which time period this Clipper was
: renamed to "Morning Glory" ?
:
: Thank You.

: This aircraft is a Boeing 707 - 321CF
: (N474PA)
: and a 727 (N568PE) leased from Continental.
: According to my research N64AF is a 737 -
: 222 first named Clipper Spandau, later
: renamed Clipper San Diego.
: The internet lists Clipper Morning Glory as
: a 737-200 which is incorrect.
:
: Have a great day,

: Hello Mark,
:
: I also had this information. But meanwhile I
: own the following photo of N64AF taken at
: Miami International Airport in 1989:

:
: So I think "Morning Glory" must be
: the last Clipper Name of N64AF, cause this
: aircraft was in service until 1989 (year of
: the photo).
:
: Next example is N806PA:
: The internet lists only the Clipper Name
: "Betsy Ross". But here is a photo
: of this Clipper with the name "Jesse
: Owens", taken at Berlin-Tegel Airport
: in 1986:
