I am one of the organisers of the annual Rock Sound Homecoming festivities held in Eleuthera Bahamas, every Easter Holiday weekend. I am 34 years of age but know from stories told by my Aunt a former agent for the airline, that Pan Am was the best thing that happened to South Eleuthera. Even more so the stories of philanthropic efforts of Mr. Juan Trippe to our island is countless. The efforts of Mr. Trippe and Mr. Arthur Vining Davis to the development of South Eleuthera and Rock Sound i particular are unmatched. Comparatively speaking Eleuthera was one of the most developed islands (Roads, Electricity, Economy) within The Bahamas.
