Hi. My mother in law gave me a palm that she got from the walmart in Greensboro, NC. I think it's a majesty palm. Soon after I got it, it stopped growing. I noticed that there were only like 2 fronds on each trunk (there were two trunks in the pot). I water it when it's dry and don't keep it in direct sunlight, which is what someone at Home Depot told me to do, but it still is not growing. The smaller one actually has a frond that is opening, but is not fully out of the base. I also had a paradise palm that did the same thing, just stopped growing, I was told this was normal, that they grow slow, but it died completely. I don't want this majesty palm to die, could you please tell me what I'm doing wrong. Should it be in full sun? Should I keep it soaking wet? Help!!
