I have 2 sego palms that I planted 2 years ago. Last year they were great. Now they both are yellowing badly. Can anyone help and what do I do to restore them to health.

: You may be overwatering it and/or the
: Miracle Grow potting soil may have too
: much fertilizer in it. I'm not sure
: about the contents of the Miracle Grow
: potting soil but look on the bright
: side.... you may have watered it so
: much that it leached all the fertilizer
: out of it . Just kidding of course. It
: also may be suffering from a little
: shock. Try backing off on the watering
: a little. Lower fronds turning brown
: and dying is normal. When the bottom
: fronds turn completely brown and die,
: you can trim them off close to the
: trunk. Give it some more time, i think
: everything will be okay. Good luck.

: A week ago I transplanted a sego from a
: large pot (which fell apart) to the
: ground. The hole is about 2 feet deep,
: and we put miracle grow potting soil in
: the hole along with the soil from the
: area.I live near Houston, the weather
: has been in the 90's all week and the
: plant gets full sun most of the
: afternoon. The palm is about 4 feet in
: diameter. Two days ago, about half the
: leaves started turning yellow, the
: bottom ones are turning brown. I have
: watered it daily, with a generous
: amount from the hose. Please help, I
: really want to save this beautiful
: plant! Thank you.
