A week ago I transplanted a sego from a large pot (which fell apart) to the ground. The hole is about 2 feet deep, and we put miracle grow potting soil in the hole along with the soil from the area.I live near Houston, the weather has been in the 90's all week and the plant gets full sun most of the afternoon. The palm is about 4 feet in diameter. Two days ago, about half the leaves started turning yellow, the bottom ones are turning brown. I have watered it daily, with a generous amount from the hose. Please help, I really want to save this beautiful plant! Thank you.
