I purchased a Sago Palm offshoot (?) in New Orleans (it wasn't planted, just the base with roots and 4 longer stems of leaves. I planted it in a pot (not too large) with the base half way out of the soil. Watered it and I think I let it dry out too much because 2 of the palm leaves have turned beige-yellow. I watered it now but am afraid it may not survive. What am I doing wrong? I am keeping it in our free standing screen porch so that it doesn't get too much sun. Thank you.
