Looking to see if anyone can help me discover what might be contributing to the brown coloring on my Mexican Fan Palm. I reside in north Texas and bought the trees 3 weeks ago. The trees are about 5 ft tall and I transplanted them into very large pots for now. I watered them well when I transplanted them and have had them outside as much as possible. When the weather gets near freezing, I bring them in. In the time that I have had them, the older growth leaves have started to turn very yellow/brown and the new growth has brown tips. The new growth does seem to continue to come in though. Can anyone help me identify what the problem might be and what I might do to help these trees?
