My date palms are about 16' of trunk. They have day lilies around them about four feet out and have lawn on one side. They look robust and they produce fruit each year but this year the stem of the oldest leaves has turned yellow. The new ones are green and healthy looking. I just recently fertilized this year for the first time in about three years after seeing this. The edges of the older leaves are slightly dried but not too extreme I live in Las Vegas and we have been getting a lot of wind lately.
I cannot find anything anywhere about this can anyone help?
