My palm has been growing very nicely for about 4 years, it's now about 6-7 feet. After unwrapping it from the winter I noticed the base looks as if it has been cut over a period of time. You can see many little root type projections. Half the base looks fine the other half not so good. I think this might be from the lawn guy trimming around the palm for the last couple of years.It looks very healthy, but I am worried that it doesn't have a strong base. Sorry It's very hard to describe.
