I live in Tulsa, OK and I lost m Queen palm back in March I took the wrap off in Feb when we had a warm spell and I didnt wrap it back up in Feb when i went to california for business and came back and it was in bad shape. My Queen was on a south facing porch sheltered from most wind and handled most cold 30 degree nights. If you're in TX depending where I'd wrap the queens in the winter as precaution. Even after my fronds were gone I had a new stalk in the middle green and I had hope but it soon rotted and that was the end
