fan palm top snapped to one side

my fan palms top snapped over to one side it was really windy today and i just got them 2 days ago there aprox 7 feet tallone ifs fine so i tied th leaves up to avoid it happening to that one, all the leaves and top are now pointing out in stad of up, did this do enogh damage to kill it?
