Washingtonia filifera (the California Fan Palm) would be a good choice. So would Brahea armata (which has a beautiful, silver-grey color). The Nannorhops species are from high elevation deserts, and they're becoming more commercially available that they used to be. Generally speaking, most palms like the desert. They are mostly subtropical species. Having said that, you should avoid trachycarpus and sabal species for sure. Both of them like a lot of water.
: I want to plant Palmtrees in a
: subtropical, hot area(30- 40 C), with a
: shortage of water(almost desert). Which
: Palm is most suited for this???????///
