windmill palms in Kansas

Wanted to know if windmill palms could survive in southern Kansas. Have read that these are cold hardy zone 4-11. I am in a zone 6 region and thought i would give it a try.Thought that mulching heavy in the winter would help. Any suggestions or tips that would help?
