Hi patricia! Your rust discoloration on the leaves is due to a lack of potassium. What you need is a high quality fertilizer, one that has micronutrients aside from the nitroghen, phosphate and potash that make up the number rating 15-5-10. Look on the back of the label and the additional micronutrients will be listed. The more, the better. (there should be, like 6) check out palmprofessional.com and look at the breakdown of his fertlizer. I've had good results with that stuff and no nutritional deficiencies, like you have. I credit the fertilizer. It's pricey and you dont have to buy it. Just get an idea of what to look for when you go to buy fertilizer. Just remember: the more micronutrients, the better.
