I've been investing in my house lately. I figure the day I retire, which hopefully won't be for eight or nine years yet, I want my home in newish condition. One thing I did last month was replace all the heating equipment, including the oil tank, which was so old that....

It was MY age!
I replaced the roof recently. About a year and a half ago. Two years ago we had a bedroom gutted and a new one built from the bare boards, up and this spring we're doing the same to the "Master" bedroom.
Lots of little stuff getting done too. It's expensive but it's got to get done before I'm ready to just relax and stop spending so much money.
