If you can somehow get someone to nominate you for a Nobel prize, or even if you just want to claim you've been nominated, it's a very nice resume enhancer. The nominations are kept secret for 50 years, so nobody can challenge your claim as a nominee for 50 years. Unless you are applying for a job with the Nobel committees, I suppose.
There were more than 200 nominees for the Peace Prize this year, for what little that's worth.
