You mentioned that to me in Auckland and I questioned Theo about it. He's an interesting guy. He and his brothers own 700 acres under vine and their entire wine producing facility. They employ 35 people full time, from vineyard managers and wine makers to chemists. Yet as wealthy as they've become his new project is to make olive oil soap and sell it at flea markets on weekends. Down to earth people. I like them.
Anyway, Theo acted like he'd never heard of growing saffron in vineyards. Maybe we gave him an idea.
