Our grape is as bare as well. It's out of season for us down here. The lemons that we have on the other hand flower and fruit every 3-4 months, all the year round. I don't know if Theo does it but some of the vineyards in Blenhiem and probably further south grow saffron/crocus between the rows of vines. The seasons are opposites and therefore keep staff intouch with the vineyard all the year round. Not to mention the value/return. As to the weather. I think that our spring is about 3 weeks early this year and that also helps to explain the good break that you expenced.
