An old trapper (of devilish character)once told me, a shot to the spine will "disconnect" the brain from activating the offending end. Years later, I had one in a leghold trap and thought about what that old trapper had told me. Couldn't figure out where the spine was exactly, so I shot it right behind the head severing the spinal cord. WOW!, ol' Jack actually told a truth?!
Don't know if you can shoot 'em where you live but, I wouldn't try it too close to home. Just in case I was just plain miraculously lucky.
