When I read these posts I ran right up to the local Supwer Stop and Shop (enormous supermarket) to see if I could buy my last jar of Postum and sure enough, they don't have any. It's history.
YEARS ago (back when I was in grad school) I used to dig wild chicory, clean it, roast it, and make a Postum type beverage from it. I used to gather wild amaranthus retroflectus too. It's in the spinach family. Somewhere around the time that I started to gather dandelions my attention somehow turned to something else.
