I ask because, after being Lab owners for about 17 yrs, we went without a dog for a year. Our youngest boy was really missing the dogs, so about a year ago I let him get a husky pup. Deffinitely different breed from the labs. That was about a year ago, and young Maya has killed every cat, squirrel, chicken, and goat that has come in the yard.
So my oldest boy had to move out of his apartment. The place that "tried" housing his dog-well let's just say it didn't work out. So we let him bring his dog home, thinking maybe a companion would do the pup some good.
Anyway, the second dog is supposed to be a leonberger. Doesn't seem to be as big as what wiki is talking about, and the "black mask" is not really there. His face seems very germn shepherdish. Seems weird to me that if they are that rare, my son and his friend have one.
He seems to be a nice dog. The jury is still out on whether he is a good thing for Maya or not.
