Terra worked at the hare's skin until it came off practically in one clean piece. She wasn't one to eat in a frenzy, nor would she ever be. Taboo's thoughts seemed to echo her own. Emil should be out there doing something with himself rather than laying home and letting the world pass him by. If only he took after one of his brothers, Itachi, Zebbidiah... Polera and Cross. The fem gave a sigh as she thought of her two very distant sons. She hadn't seen either since they were rather young, but she'd heard plenty about them. From what she heard, both had grown into independent, strong young men. Admirable. "Leave it be, Taboo," Terra spoke in near a growl, though not aimed toward her mate. "The boy's going nowhere and it's going to catch up to him eventually. Let him learn the hard way."
The fem held the skinned hare firmly between her golden forepaws and ripped small pieces off with her front teeth for the girls. They were just about old enough to start nibbling some solids. And ear flicked toward Taboo as he mentioned Noir, a grin pulling back Terra's lips. That girl had the best of both worlds, in her mother's opinion. She gathered general size from Taboo, all of Terra's fire, and both her parents' aggression. That was a prize pup right there, a daughter to be truly poud of. Some day she was going to make a great alphess in a pack, there was no other position suitable for her besides, perhaps, a loner. But really, if one had the opportunity, they'd probably go for alpha position.
"Sweetie's out too, dunno where though," Terra added, accounting for their other daughter from that litter. The fem was rather unconcerned where or what Sweetie was getting into. She was another Noir, only packed in a smaller, more feminine body. And boy was she quick. She was more like her mother than most of the girls, but gained a certain charm from her father. But that was one girl you didn't want to mess with. Size lies.
A mostly white pup emerged from the den, stretching out four silver-dipped legs with a lengthy yawn to add to the mix. All loosened up, the silver hooded fem gave a forceful shake of her body and bolted out to join the commotion. She ran underneath her father, golden eyes pinned on her sister and silver tipped tail streaming out behind her. Rudia didn't even bother stopping, just threw her shoulder toward Din and gave a giggle. She was awake, time to wreak havoc.
Terra ignored the rough-housing of her girls. Pups will be pups, and it was good for them to start learning how to fight early on. Eyes on the hare she was pulling to bits and pieces, Terra took a deep breath. "You know, I heard something about Polera today," she said, tone a bit emotionless. It was a sad subject to touch on for her, but one she liked to cover. She just wished she could see her sons for herself, but they seemed to be avoiding her on purpose. "Apparently he's not too happy with someone. I guess they killed his mate or girlfriend. Wish I knew who did it."
